Hariyali Chicken Tikka Recipe is a  North Indian starter of chicken made with rich green vegetables.



1 tablespoon mint paste, 1 tablespoon coriander paste, 1 tablespoon spinach paste, 500 grams boneless chicken, cut into 1 inch pieces ,Salt to taste, 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste, 1 teaspoon green chili paste, ¼ cup hung yogurt , ½ teaspoon roasted cumin (jeera) powder, ½ teaspoon chaat masala ,¼ teaspoon dried mango powder (amchur) ,Crushed black peppercorns to taste , ½ teaspoon dried fenugreek leaves (Kasturi methi) powder Juice of 1 lemon, 1 tablespoon mustard Oil as required Butter as required


1. Put chicken pieces in a bowl. Add salt, ginger-garlic paste, green chili paste, mint paste, coriander paste, spinach paste, hung yogurt, cumin powder, chaat masala, dried mango powder, crushed peppercorns, dried fenugreek leaves powder, lemon juice, and mustard oil and mix well. Set aside to marinate.

2. Skewer the marinated pieces onto satay sticks.

3. Heat some oil and butter in a non-stick grill pan. Place the satay sticks on it and grill, basting with some butter, till the chicken is evenly done and fully cooked.

4. Serve hot with green chutney, onion rings, cherry tomato halves, lemon wedges, and mint sprigs.

Hariyali chicken tikka is now ready!! Serve with chutney and sliced onions.
